Local and fresh fish
La Platjeta is a project born in La Barceloneta to make our product known: we fish and sell fresh, quality, and local fish and seafood. For generations, our family has worked in traditional fishing, a job that nowadays is trying to add new technologies to reduce its environmental impact. We have two boats: “L’Òstia”, in honour of our beloved Barceloneta; and “el Nus”, the youngster that started this adventure.
Our job in La Platjeta
We want to make the quality of our product known, since there is no fresher fish and seafood. Every morning, we go to work, and it is not until the afternoon that we sell fish at the auction, the fish market or the central market. That is why there are never excess fish or seafood for the next day. Our product is always fresh from the day and local, as the fishermen have fished it a few hours before in the Catalan coast.
